Rally Alerts

The bigger and better part of the “Happiest Race on Earth!” will be a second event that will be held October 10th-13th of 2019; the NORRA 500! Based in Ensenada, Baja California Mexico, the event will be family-friendly and will offer two separate and concurrent 250 mile race courses starting and finishing in front of the Riviera Convention Center in Ensenada. Cars and Bikes will be separated appropriately and then switch courses on the second race day. Each evening the NORRA team will offer locally inspired hospitality starting with happy hour events and concluding with dinner. The event’s unique format is intended reduce complicated planning and logistics and create an event that racers new and old can easily manage. If you have always wanted to bring your family and friends to see what NORRA is all about, or want to get your feet wet racing in Baja, this is the event for you. On Sunday, there will be an amazing Awards Ceremony held to NORRA party standards that will include brunch at a great location to be announced.

Late Registration Fees

* The entry fee increases by $100 after August 15. It increases an additional $100 after September 20.

Registration Deadlines

Online registration is now closed. You can still register on site inside the Riviera Convention Center on October 10 between 9:00 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Vehicles and trailers driving across the border must be registered by midnight on October 7 (Pacific Daylight Time). See the Mexico Customs Rally Alert for details.

Refund Policy

The first $500 of your entry fee is non-refundable. If you cancel your entry after July 1, but before September 15, we will issue a non-transferrable credit good for next year’s NORRA 500 or Mexican 1000. No refunds or credits for cancellations after September 15.

Maps and GPS Files

To prevent pre-running, GPS files and detailed maps will not be released until right before the race. Click here for mileage and pit maps and information.


ALL hotel reservations and accommodations necessary to compete in the rally are to be made by individual race teams at their expense. NORRA is not responsible for the booking and pricing practices of hotels and travel agents.

Medical and Liability Insurance:

Vehicle Drivers and Co-Drivers will be banded with a wristband for Medical and Liability Insurance - a policy provided by Instant Mexican Insurance. Please understand the limitations of this insurance by reading the policy. Read the Policy


  • Covers accidents that happen on the course ONLY
  • Does NOT cover the race vehicle or damages
  • Racer on racer accidents on course are covered under same medical terms but without liability coverage
  • Does NOT cover accidents that involve illegal drugs
  • ONLY covers $5000 in medical stabilization in Mexico. It does NOT cover flights or transportation to get back to your home country.

Crossing the Border

Details about border crossing will be distributed as a Rally Alert shortly before most teams will be departing for the event. At that time, you will be able to register all vehicles crossing the border with your entry.
