We always talk about all the fun you’ll have at "The Happiest Race On Earth!" but the Mexican 1000 is a true test of equipment. Baja terrain is as challenging as it is beautiful; you need the strength built into Walker Evans racing wheels and the performance that Walker Evans Racing shocks deliver.

WALKER EVANS RACING - UTV BEADLOCKS

Walker Evans Racing 14” x 6”, 14” X 7” and 15” X 6” UTV True Beadlock Racing Wheels that resemble our well known off road racing truck wheels. This high pressure cast aluminum wheel gives you superior strength for any situation you come across whether pounding the dunes or hitting the open desert.

Standard finish for our UTV Beadlock Racing Wheel is a shot peened face with machined center, machined with black accents and gloss black with machined center. There are some upgrade options for changing the exterior finish and these are matte black, gloss black and other color powder coat finish. Custom colors are available but you must call for details and order over the phone.

Polaris RZR XP 1000 / XP4-1000 & Turbo 2.5" Velocity VS2.FIVE Stepped Needle, Positioned Piggyback with High and Low Speed Compression Adjustment

The new Velocity Series coilover shocks offer the next step in performance and comfort for the Polaris XP 1000, Yamaha YXZ and Can Am X3 and Maverick. The Velocity Series shocks have more controlled resistance than a standard piggyback or remote reservoir coilover. With the piggyback specifically positioned, these shocks offer higher resistance to bottoming out while allowing for a smoother, more compliant ride in the choppy bumps. These coilover shocks have an improved version of the Walker Evans Racing Needle Valve Technology to offer multiple stages of internal bypass that allows additional compression and rebound control.

Rear Sway Bar shock for Polaris RZR1000, RZR4-1000, Turbo

No matter what rear shock you are running on your SXS even if it is stock Walker Evans 2.5” shocks or our Velocity Series shocks we can improve your driving experience with a set of “Walker Links”. These units replace the standard fixed rear sway bar link and provide a smoother initial ride over rough and uneven terrain regardless of vehicle speed. They increase rear wheel and vehicle articulation while still providing a confident feeling when cornering. With 2.0 inches of dampened action per side your rear shocks will be able to act independently until the Walker Link has collapsed to act like a rigid link under heavy loads and when cornering. You get the best of both worlds with these links, a more independent shock action when your vehicle is level or nearly level and a solid support under heavy lean loads, turning and when needing that cornering stability. You can also tune your ride by installing one or both of these links depending on your driving style and terrain.

There will be some race sections where the bikes and cars will run separate, but all competitors will be staying in the same towns and attending the same events every night. For the 50th anniversary there will be even more hospitality and special events each night. The very first adventurers who set off to run the peninsula would throw a huge celebration afterwards to mark their accomplishment. That tradition continues to this day at the Mexican 1000.
