Motos Return to the NORRA 500, Riders Must Commit by August 14
The sound of motorcycles will once again echo across the mountains and Pacific coastline of Baja California as two-wheel competition returns to the 2026 NORRA 500 “Baja Coast Challenge.” Motorcycle racers are officially invited back to take on the same legendary terrain, spectacular scenery, and challenging special stages that have become hallmarks of the NORRA experience. Riders will compete over the same course as the four-wheel competitors, using either GPS navigation or a rally tower, giving racers the freedom to choose the navigation format that best suits their style
To confirm the motorcycle category for this year’s event, a minimum of 20 bike entries must be received by August 14, 2026. A $250 deposit is required to reserve a motorcycle entry. If the 20-bike minimum is not reached by August 14, all motorcycle deposits will be fully refunded. Registration opens July 15, 2026 for the NORRA 500.
Riders planning to compete are encouraged to enter early. August 14 is also the final day to take advantage of discounted online entry pricing. Beginning August 15, standard entry fees will apply, and competitors choosing to register in person at the event will also be subject to a late registration fee.
The return of motorcycles to the NORRA 500 gives riders another opportunity to experience Baja the way it was meant to be raced, wide open, heads-up, and against the clock. From the Pacific coastline to the mountain backroads of Baja California, every mile is designed to reward skill, strategy, and endurance.
If you’ve been waiting for the right excuse to get back to Baja, this is it. Rally your friends, spread the word, and help bring motorcycle racing back to the NORRA 500.
The countdown is on. Twenty bikes. One deadline. Baja is waiting.
